Thank you for all of your tasty entries in our Hot Dog recipe. It was a very tough decision, but we've finally chosen our winner. Congratulations to Amy Betts!
Hot Dog Coated Hot Dogs
Ingredients:
12 Hot Dogs
Oil for deep frying
Batter:
1 cup (240 mL) all purpose flour
1 tablespoon (15 mL) baking powder
1 teaspoon (5 mL) salt
1/2 cup (120 mL) beer
Step 1: Boil 4 hot dogs, barbecue other 8 hot dogs. Cut up barbecued hot dogs.
Step 2: Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
Step 3: Add beer to the bowl from step 2. We don't drink beer, we drink Fat bastard wine and cook with beer!
Step 3.5: If the batter's too dry, add more beer. We're aiming for a thick sticky batter.
Step 4: Coat the boiled hot dogs in the batter then stick on pieces of barbecued hot dogs.
Step 5: Fry the beast until satisfied.
Step 6: Truly satisfy yourself by pairing it with Fat bastard Chardonnay.
