Long before Australia was recognized as a world-class viticulture area, Peter perceived an opportunity for top quality, family-owned, estate wines from Australia. In 1987, he selected 30 of the most promising wines and founded his company as a way to introduce American consumers to high quality, boutique Australian wines. Today, with a portfolio of critically acclaimed wine brands, Peter is acknowledged as one of the “fathers” of Australian wine importing, and respected for his remarkable discernment.

In 1998 a little Fat bastard changed Peter’s life. Created by fellow wine industry rebel Guy Anderson, an Englishman, and Thierry Boudinaud, a French winemaker, Fat bastard’s laid back style heralded a major change in the way Americans would perceive wine in the future. Consumers discovered wine could be fun, delicious and carry a name that’s amusing, easy to remember and without intimidation. Learning from the successes of Fat bastard, Click Wine Group developed a new business model centered on consumer driven brands. The new model, which serves as a blue print for the company’s burgeoning Global Wine Collection, focuses on signature varietals from world-class appellations with easy to pronounce names and appealing, consumer friendly packaging.
